Dark Souls

This goddamn fucking incredibly amazing game is currently (and for the next 5 hours) 75% off ($7.49) on Steam. Do yourself a favour and buy this game, seriously (you need a controller though).

Oh yeah, and before you ask what it is about, is a very difficult and unforgivable game (but not unfair) with an extremely deep and balanced combat system, seamless open world with sequence breaking (think Super Metroid), deep character building and customization, lots of different types of weapons with different movesets (not that Skyrim bullshit with only like three types of weapons), a pretty good plot that's not rubbed on your face and a brooding and immersive atmosphere.
The multiplayer is completely different beast, it's seamlessly integrated into the single player, it would be kind of long to explain, but you can basically invade other player's worlds or you can call other players as phantoms to your own world and play co-op, there's a system that keeps tracks of player's sins (for example if you invade another player and kill them, they can indict you) and there's other players that dedicate themselves to invade sinners and serve justice, just to give an example, but it really goes beyond that.

Anyway, highly recommended game. If you buy it, prepare to die, seriously, you're gonna die a lot, but beating the different challenges the game offers is extremely rewarding to the point of being addictive. Another good thing to mention is that the game doesn't hold your hand at all, unlike a lot of games today that treat players like idiots.

Sounds like my style of game. I might have to try it out soon.
