Re: FILMS
Rec (DO NOT WATCH THE AMERICAN REMAKE, IT SUCK COCKS, WATCH THE SPANISH ORIGINAL). Or the classic ones such as Rosemary's Baby, The Thing, Alien, The Exorcist, Psycho, The Shining, etc, etc.
Non-horror films (in no particular order): Twelve Monkeys, Brazil, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, La Cité des Enfants Perdus, El Laberinto del Fauno, Fight Club, Se7en, Lucky Number Slevin, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Taxi Driver, Mulholland Dr., Inland Empire, Pulp Fiction, The Silence of the Lambs, Children of Men, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Spirited Away, Eraserhead, Pi, V for Vendetta, City of God, Persepolis, Sin City, The Fountain, Death at a Funeral (again, watch the British version, not the stupid American remake), Dark City, Paprika, Pink Floyd: The Wall, Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and 2, Memento, The King's Speech, Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, District 9, Up, Girl, Interrupted, The Fifth Element, Inception, The Dark Knight, and of course Léon: The Professional. I can't think of more right now, lol.

EDIT BY TOTEN: WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT? THANKS FOR SPOILING THE END OF THE MOVIE!
In horror I wouldn't recommend anything new. Check out Night Of The Demons (Original). The make up in that movie is awesome and plenty scary. It kept me up at night (LOL!). I had fun watching the remake to since it stayed true to the original but the makeup was nothing compared to the original. The remake also felt more like a "fun" type of horror movie than a "Scary" movie. Check them both out. I would also recommend Return of the Living Dead 1-3, Night, Dawn(Original), Day, and Land of the Dead. Those are my favorite movies when it comes to zombie films. I have seen a lot of good Horror movies but I can't remember the titles D:!!! I usually watch these movies, love them, and forget unless I buy them within a month after watching them. After that they just slip out of my memory :'( I will try to remember more and I will give you the names.
When it comes to martial arts movies, I look for real martial arts. I hate the Crouching Tiger flying effect. I like 2 or 3 movies that came out when it was still new and fresh which are Crouching Tiger (of course), Iron Monkey, and Flying Dagger. These however I would only recommend watching if you are looking for those types of movies, I hate how Crouching Tiger changed the world of martial arts after that. It is usually this:
People fly
People have monster grip that can break wood and stone
People talk to much during fights
They always have a chase scene in the sky running over trees
I think the style is now called Epic Martial Arts? I'm not sure, all I know is that I am not a big fan of it.
Good Martial Arts movies (The Real Stuff :>)
Kickboxer (Jean Claude Van Damne)
Bloodsport (Jean Claude Van Damne)
Drunken Master (Jackie Chan)
Legend of the Drunken Master (Jackie Chan)
Kiss of the Dragon (Jet Li)
Romeo Must Die (Jet Lie)
Enter the Dragon (Bruce Lee)
Way of the Dragon (Bruce Lee)
Ong Bak 1-3 (Tony Jaa)
I will give you more if you are interested. I only gave you 2 or each of the most popular martial arts stars. There are a lot more martial art movies and actors out there (I am still discovering as well) so yeah, happy watching !
- Spoiler:
- Insidious was great until the end when the father goes into the realm of the dead lol. Massive disappoint for The NzY from that point on but then again, I am extremely picky when it comes to my horror and martial arts movies.
